Calculate my body fat with the inbody 770

What is my current body fat percentage? How to know your body fat percentage ? What is the interest in bodybuilding, fitness and diet?

In this video I present you a method to calculate its fat rate with precision. I am invited to the offices of the company INBODY in Montpellier to evaluate my body composition with their device Inbody 770 which allows to know with precision the rate of fat mass.

All InBody body composition monitors use state-of-the-art bioimpedance analysis technology. As a result, when you stand on an InBody device, a very low, safe electrical current is sent from four metal electrodes on the bottom of your feet to four other electrodes in your hands. This flow passes through your legs, trunk and arms. All InBody devices analyze the body by segmentation (2 arms, two legs and the trunk) because the four electrodes in the hands provide additional measurements for each leg, each arm and the trunk.

This signal rapidly crosses the water present in the hydrated muscle tissue. It is confronted with the resistance of the fatty tissue. This resistance, called "impedance", is measured and entered into scientific equations. Body composition measurements are taken in an average of 30 seconds and give between 40 and 60 measurements depending on the model: this is called bio-impedancemetry.

Besides the Inbody, the most accurate method to estimate the % of fat mass is undoubtedly the Dexa by absorption biphotonoque but it remains in medical use, extremely expensive and one takes X-rays as for a scanner with each use thus dangerous with the long run.
