Sweating is a natural mechanism for the human body to regulate its temperature. When you sweat, you simply lose water, not water. body fat. However, in order to lose weight, it is fat that you must eliminate.

Fortunately, this loss of water is then made up for by your hydration. This is a zero operation. Otherwise, you will be dehydrated, with all the health problems that this can cause.

To return to the sweat belt, it does indeed allow you to sweat more by evacuating subcutaneous water. However, it is of no use for eliminate fat and slim down.

For burn calories As you know, there is no magic bullet for losing weight. If you want to get a flat stomach or prominent abs and eliminate cellulite, you'll need to exercise and adopt a healthy eating.

This requires the establishment of a caloric deficit. For example, if your daily requirement is 2,000 calories, you will need to consume fewer calories to hope to dry.

A balanced diet, calculated according to your caloric needs and sufficiently rich in proteins, is the key to reaching your goal. It must of course be combined with regular physical exercise.

It's up to you to find the sports activity that suits you best: weight training, crossfit, swimming, running, etc. However, you should know that the strength training allows to increase the basic metabolism thanks to the muscular growth.

Advantages and disadvantages of the sweat belt

The advantages of the slimming belt

If it does not allow you to lose fat, the sweat belt can, however, optimize the elimination of toxins through perspiration. But this small advantage does not justify the purchase of a sweat belt.

Sweatwear can also be useful for some competitive athletes. This is particularly the case in the world of fighting sportsThis is because sportsmen and women have to respect specific weight categories. And it's all down to the gram!

In MMA (mixed martial arts), each fighter has to be under an imposed weight on the day of the weigh-in. Otherwise, he will be disqualified. Once the weigh-in is over, the fighter can take as much weight as he wants until the fight.

In order to be at the expected weight when they step on the scale, these athletes use the weight cut method. In concrete terms, they try to lose as much water as possible a few hours before the weigh-in. To do this, they use, among other things, sweat suits. As soon as the weigh-in is over, they rehydrate and recover the lost weight.

Sweating can be used by boxing or MMA practitioners before fights.

Be careful, you should never use this method. It is only effective in the very short term and in a very specific context, high level sport. These athletes are obviously supervised by professionals.

The disadvantages of a slimming belt

Is the sweat belt dangerous for your health? In addition to its ineffectiveness, a sweat belt can also have harmful consequences on the body.
