weight training for tall people

I'm training with a giant!

Back to Fitness Park Montpellier for an interview and training of a physical Men's competitor who is trying to win his pro card.

Everyone knows how much harder it is to train when you are tall. But nothing is impossible!

I present here a training with the biggest physical Men's of France. Steve San MartinHe is 1.97m tall and yet has a harmonious physique and a great slim waist. He shows us that when we set goals and have constraints, we can adapt our training by finding solutions to achieve them.

For each exercise, he'll adapt to the machines, as you can see in this video. He'll come up with techniques to perform the muscle-building exercises according to his size.

As easy as it will be for him to do the exercises with free weights, with machines it will start to be a headache. Fortunately, steve's years of bodybuilding experience have made it easy for him to overcome these difficulties, as he's already developed these habits.

Everyone has different proportions in relation to their size, with shorter or shorter muscles, different segments. A tall person will not train with the same amplitude as a short person. For the same result and good symmetry, a tall person will need more effort, more work.

In this workout, we look back at his competitive journey and his early days in weight training to the present day. Steve talks about his training, diet, and cardio when preparing for a competition to lose as much fat as possible while limiting muscle loss.

Following this interview we continue on a training session intense weight training for the pectoral muscles and biceps. We go through the exercises taking into account my recent back problems. Steve and I will focus on seated exercises on a bench and machine, not easy to train with a hard corset. We finish with a little conclusion and Steve tells us about his short, medium and long term goals with the desire to win his card one day Pro IFBB.
