Whey protein comes from milk. The way whey is extracted from milk is fundamental, and our Pure Native Whey Isolate is fundamentally different from competing products. Pure Native Whey Isolate is made from native whey, instead of sweet whey, a by-product of cheese production.
Unlike sweet whey, native whey is not exposed to the enzymes, starter cultures or acids that trigger the curdling process essential for cheese making. This explains why native whey does not contain non-native elements such as glycomacropeptides, and also generally has a lower lactic acid level.

Whey protein comes from whey, which comes from milk. More specifically, cow's milk. The milk used in our Pure Native Whey Isolate is of the highest quality, obtained from healthy cows. Great care is taken to ensure that only milk from the most reliable sources is used. It is thoroughly tested for undesirable substances such as hormones and synthetic antibiotics, and is guaranteed non-GMO.
Pasteurization
Raw milk can contain harmful micro-organisms. This is why it is first subjected to pasteurization: without boiling, the milk is very quickly heated to temperatures high enough to deal with any harmful bacteria, but not so high as to change its other properties. Once this is done, the milk is ready for the next step. To keep this product as natural and unprocessed as possible, the milk is not sterilized.
Filtration and dehydration
Turning whey into whey protein involves extracting as much lactose and fat content as possible.
